Unexpectedly Thyme
Posted @ 8:03 a.m. on 2008-03-18

A few days ago I bought this Aerogarden thingy. The idea of it sounded cool since I have an issue growing fresh herbs (not the smoking kind) for my kitchen.

It all seems a bit girlie, I have said that too often, but I look at it this way. For a dude to put the final touches on wooing a chick he should know a bit about cooking and how to use fresh ingredients.

For a dude that already has a chick, such as myself, what better way to keep her thinking that you are in touch with your feminine side than to have a garden that could possibly yield flowers? (Heh ...I made myself chuckle at this one)

The Aerogarden works on hydroponics. Which is to say that it uses 100% humidity and no soil to grow plants. It seems to be working because I now, after three days, have sprouts of Italian and Purple Basil and, unexpectedly, Thyme.

I expected the Thyme to grow, just not this fast.
