Gremlins

Gremlins it tell you, Gremlins. Those little bastards have been screwing everything up for the past week.

I has been a wonky kind of week. Strange happenings at work, people geting sick, old pains resurfacing. And to top it off...

*The roaring sound of a crowd in a stadium*

DOWN... SET.... COMPUTER BLEW.... COMPUTER BLEW... HUT HUT... HIKE!

A power surge placed a pair of cement shoes on our old PC. It was about time for it to go anyway. It was 4 years old and very out dated. Wifey and I went to attend to some other business and came back with a new PC.

It had to look interesting to the MP's at the guard shack on the way in. I was driving, Whifey inthe pasenger seat, Baby was in her car seat, new PC was sitting next to her.

I almost had to pull the car over because the new PC wouldn't stay on it's own side.

We got it home and it works fine. Which brings me to my main topic for the day.

GAMEING..dun dun DUUNNN!

A while ago I purchased a Batman game from Ebay and old PC didn't have enough RAM to support the program's operations. With new PC, there is plenty of space.

I installed the game and proceeded to play. I played it non-stop for the better of 4 hours. All the while Wifey was waiting patiently for me to stop because we had "Plans". She made mention to me on several occaisons that she was ready when I was. I was so cought up in the game that i lost all track of time. The next thing I knew, she was telling me that she was going to bed.

Boy did I feel like an ass. We "talked" about it. Nothing much comes from talks like these except for the both of us feeling like two bags of smashed ass.

I was just reminded that I get wrapped up in thing very easily when I am realy stressed.

Gameing is a crutch. People use gameing to escape reality. It's like a drug that dosent have the nasty physical side effects. The problem is knowing where to draw the line. If society is not careful the main cause for relationship problems ont be Money, Sex issues, or Religon. It will be video games.

The gameing craze has taken over the world. When people wait outside of a store for 3 days just to PAY $500 for a new gameing system there is a problem. What are people thinking.

'I getting married to a beautiful woman who I intend to love and hold and cherish for the rest of my life until death or video gameing do us part'

If I am offending anyone them maybe you should take a good look at your life and priorities. Gameing isn't a bad thing, it just shouldn't consume a persons life. I admitedly play games. I play when I am stressed or bored or have nothing better to do. Those situations are a rarity with me.

I'm sure that some people will say that it isn't fair to target gamers. Ok, sorry, if someone is in a relationship then there shold be nothing more important that your significant other. There may be something at a higher priority sometimes, work for example, but your special someone should always be the reason for making that other thing a higher priority.

I joined the marine corps to establish a stable income and to get my family started on a track to success. Sure the Marines might take me away for 6 months on a deployment. That is the price to pay to get things going in the right direction.

Gameing can't do that.
