Weirded out

So today was a good day. I woke up, burned the eggs and made coffee.
I got a wierd feeling today as I dropped my kid off at pre-K. One of our friend's kids was with me due to an unfortunate fender bender. The little girl hugged me right before entering her classroom. Maybe I'm being weird but, I'm not used to other kids just hugging me for no reason. My kid id one thing but someone elses kid....weird. Not that I minded...just weird.
At work I found out that my future has been layed out for me. I am looking down the barrel of promotion and furthering my training. I am excited. I was, however, informed that I am behind in my superior's needs. I need to pick up the slack and catch up to two of my peers who are 2 to 3 weeks ahead of me. The positive side of this is that my "Boss" has all the faith in the world that I can accomplish the task. Good stuff. Soon it will all come together.
